Natural Origin : Ingredients
Natural Origin's policy is to use virgin, unrefined ingredients which are
cold pressed to preserve the antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that nourish,
soften and revitalise dull skin and brings relief to sensitive skin. Our
products are gently scented with essential oils chosen for their
therapeutic effect .

African Black Soap
Black Soap originates from West Africa and comes from plantain skin mixed
with palm kernel oil to form the soap. It is a natural source of vitamins
A & E and iron. The colour of this soap will vary depending on how
long the plantains skins have been roasting for but it will range from somewhere
between light to dark brown and resembles speckled rocks.
For centuries, Ghanaians have used Black Soap to help relieve acne, oily
skin, clear blemishes and various other skin issues. African Black soap has
also been used to achieve beautiful skin. Africans have also used this natural
soap for bathing and washing their hair. Great for removing
make-up. Black Soap will leave your skin soft, clear and smelling
delicious.
Aloe Vera
A natural moisturizer which provides a wide range of vitamins, minerals and
amino acids to the skin and body. Also an anti-inflammatory that helps
reduce itching and burning.
Beeswax
Used for consistency and is calming on irritated skin. It also creates a natural protective barrier
to the skin and lips to retain essential nutrients and moisture.
Carrot Oil
Carrot Oil is extracted from the carrot, it aids the rejuvenation of cells
in the epidermis and neutralises the forming of free radicals. Beneficial
for dry skin and eczema.
Castille Soap
Castille soap is made exclusively from vegetable oil rather than animal fat
or synthetic substances. There is a wide variety of castille variants
that use oil from plants such as coconut, olive and jojoba. The simple nature
of the soap means a lesser environmental impact due to reduced waste stream
during manufacture and also faster biodegradability.
While castille soaps can have additional synthetic ingredients, usually
you'll find if it's marketed under that name, it's a fairly natural sort of
product. They will often contain glycerine - a moisturising ingredient
which is usually taken out of commercial soap.
Castor
Oil
Extracted from the castor bean,
it is used as an emollient to maintain soft and supple skin and for
treating hair loss.
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa Butter is naturally rich in Vitamin E as well as a number of other
vitamins and minerals. Vitamin E helps to soothe, hydrate, and balance the skin
and also provides the skin collagen which assists with wrinkles and other signs
of ageing. Since Cocoa Butter absorbs so quickly, it immediately relieves
dry and irritated skin.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil helps protect against skin cancer and other blemishes and helps
prevent premature aging and wrinkling. It is also excellent as a hair
conditioner.
Emu Oil
Emu oil has anti inflammatory properties which can penetrate down into
muscle tissue and joints which can relieve the aches and pains associated with
arthritis and rheumatism, sporting injuries and tension related muscular
soreness. With its combined effects of naturally occurring Vitamin E and
A of which it is one of the richest souces—and the anti inflammatory
properties, aids in skin repair promoting faster healing. An excellent
moisturiser in its own right works to transform rough, dry skin to a smoother
and healthier texture. NOTE – Not suitable for Vegans.
Evening Primrose Oil
An oil rich in Omega 6 and GLA re-known for its moisturising and softening
effects.
Glycerin
An alcohol produced when splitting fats which can be be animal, vegetable or
synthetic. Ours is vegetable. Glycerin retains the moisture
on the top layer of the skin and is also moisturising and softening.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba Oil is extracted from the seeds of the jojoba plant It helps to
reduce wrinkles and promotes the growth of new skin cells. Easily
absorbed by the skin it has a natural built in sunscreen of 4. Beneficial for
oily skin and acne.
Macadamia Nut Oil
Readily absorbed by the skin, this oil is especially good to use for mature
and dry skin which has difficulty retaining its moisture.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is high in antioxidants, including vitamin E which protects
against age-accelerating free radicals.
Olive oil also promotes a smooth radiant complexion maintaining elasticity
of skin. It is also very good for dry brittle nails and cuticles as well
as an excellent conditioner for hair.
Peach
Kernel Oil
Extracted
from the kernel of the apricot. This is easily absorbed by the skin. Beneficial for sensitive, mature, dry and
oily skin. Effective around the eyes.
Pottasium Allum
This is
a natural anti-perspirant that you can use safely which offers protection for 8-12 hours. It is NOT the same as aluminium found in
commercial products!
Shea Butter
Shea Butter is rich in Vitamin A & E as well as complex fatty acids
which are essential for healthy skin. They help to restore natural
elasticity to the skin and promote regeneration of damaged skin cells which is
why it is used extensively in Africa for blemishes, wrinkles, dermatitis,
rashes, eczema, sunburns, wounds and insect bites.
Sweet Almond Oil
Rich in Vitamins E, A B & D , proteins, glucosides and linoeic acid it
has beneficial effects on hair, dry skin and brittle nails and is suitable for
all skin type and sensitive skin.
Thistle Oil
Rich in vitamins and containing a great deal of linoleic acid (an essential
fatty acid). Quickly absorbed by the skin.
Vitamin A
Rejuvenates the skin, inhibits inflammation and helps diminish the
appearance of wrinkles leaving it soft smooth and supple.
Vitamin E Oil
Used as an anti-oxidising agent in creams, lotions and massage oils.
It also has a healing effect. Vitamin E absorbs dangerous UV rays from
the sun and may have a healing effect on sores and pierced skin.
